February 2009 Archives

Oh sunny day! The dance worked and today is blue skies and full of sun....and 50 degrees. Not exactly swimming weather but I'll take it. Time to go shoot!

Rain in San Diego?

Ok, so the plan was to shoot Ed and his family on the beach for this sunny, fun spread except it's raining!!! According to Ed, it rains here 5 times a year and the day we schedule to shoot we get hurricane ziggy. Unreal. Ed, his wife Cathy and their two beautiful children, Nadia and Tyler were nice enough to take me to lunch to my new favorite restaurant, 'Me So Harny Sushi'. Yummmmmay! Normally I'm in and out of town in 2 days.

Luckily, I scheduled a couple of extra days to spend with my nieces so hopefully it's sunny tomorrow! I'll be sure to do my Sun God Dance tonight....

I'm Headed to the Beach in February!

I'm off to San Diego.....and according to Ron Burgundy, San Diego was discovered by the Germans in 1904 and named it San Diego, which of course in German means whale's "private parts"! Not only is San Diego much warmer then Boston but it also has this little thing called the ocean which I do sorely miss after living in Los Angeles for 10 years. Not only that but I have a couple of nieces that attend San Diego St. University!

I'm actually going to work and photograph Ed Feast, a young, hardworking family man who is making a name for himself in the ever demanding world of Health Ins. Sales. I've chatted with him on the phone for a bit and his enthusiasm for being photographed is refreshing. It's a well known fact that 9 out of 10 people DO NOT like to have their picture taken and the one who does is always female so I am definitely excited about this shoot now!
